Three families, three calendars
Grants ask for a file and often a legal status. Competitions reward a pitch and a short deadline. Accelerators trade support for time, sometimes equity.
Mixing all three in one spreadsheet with no « type » column wastes weeks. GIAN distinguishes them and scores against your diagnostic.
Eligibility before prose
Country, age, gender, stage, sector, SDGs, min/max amount: if a rule fails, the finest story will not save you. For calls you run yourself (NGO), GIAN applies those rules before the score.
Francophone Africa, without folklore
Relevant opportunities change every quarter. A static « 50 funders » webpage is stale the following month. Hence on-demand search, not a frozen directory.
Cameroon has a dedicated page (XAF, Mobile Money) because that is where GIAN collects today. Other PawaPay countries exist; checkout follows the country currency, not a made-up euro price.
