SDGs: two true ones beat ten stickers
The Sustainable Development Goals are a shared language. They become SDG-washing as soon as a project « ticks » poverty, gender, climate and education with no indicator.
Choosing
An agri-tech project can target Zero Hunger (SDG 2) and Decent Work (SDG 8). Add Climate (13) only if there is a measurable lever (inputs, water, carbon) — not because agriculture « is green ».
What GIAN suggests
From your description, the diagnostic suggests an SDG alignment. It is a hypothesis to validate. You can correct it in the narrative and in applications.
For an NGO that funds beneficiaries, portfolio SDGs also show up in impact reports — again from real projects, not a decorative infographic.
